Where to find settings
On iOS / iPadOS 26: Settings › Apps › Mail › Mail Accounts. On iOS 18 and earlier: Settings › Mail › Accounts.

Your username is your full email address. On iPhone the outgoing username and password can look "Optional" — they are required, so fill them in.
Incoming server — receiving mail
- Open Settings and go to Mail Accounts (see the path above for your iOS version).
- Tap your account, then tap the email row to open the account details.
- Under Incoming Mail Server, set Host Name to
mail.example.com.
- Replace
mail.example.com with your own domain — the exact server name we provided.
- Enter your User Name and Password.
- For the incoming port, tap Advanced.
- Set Server Port to
993 for IMAP (or 995 for POP3).
- Turn Use SSL on.
Outgoing server (SMTP) — sending mail
- On the account screen, under Outgoing Mail Server, tap SMTP.
- Tap the Primary Server (it may still show the old hostname).
- Set Host Name to
mail.example.com.
- Replace
mail.example.com with your own domain — the exact server name we provided.
- Set Server Port to
465. (If sending is blocked, use port 587 with STARTTLS.)
- Turn Use SSL on.
- Confirm User Name and Password.
- Tap Done, then Done again — your device verifies the connection and saves.
If it isn't working
- Mail arrives but won't send: in SMTP › Primary Server, make sure the username and password are filled in (even though marked "Optional"), Use SSL is on, and the port is
465 (or 587).
- Password keeps prompting: confirm the username is your full email address and re-enter the mailbox password (the one you use for webmail).
- Verification hangs: a weak or captive Wi-Fi connection can stall verification — try again on a stable network.
