Adding an email account to a mail client is typically the same procedure but will be located in different areas. Some mail clients may do a auto configuration. Please see our guides on setting up each mail client .
The following are general settings asked by most mail clients when doing a manual or advanced setup:
- Incoming Server:
- User: the email address
- Server Address: Listed on the Zimbra service page under "Server name" or "Mail server" address
- Incoming port -- Depends on if you pick POP3 or IMAP in the mail client:
- Incoming Encryption: SSL / TLS
- The port should change to the ones listed above, if not manually change
- Outgoing Server:
- User: the email address
- Outgoing server: Listed on the Zimbra service page under "Server name" or "Mail server" address
- Outgoing Server Encryption: SSL / TLS
- Outgoing Port: 465
